Our 4 Step Interior Design Process

Ultimately a successful interior design is the result of a highly collaborative process. We’ll work closely with you to fully understand your needs to create a unique interior design that will exceed your expectations. Our Four Step Interior Design Process embraces initial conceptual design, right through to construction documentation, and project management if you need it.

1. Pre-Design

  • Briefing: The briefing session helps us to understand what you’re trying to achieve, your budget, timeline and any other needs. The Brief provides a clear ‘plan of attack’ to achieve the best possible outcome.
  • Quoting: A detailed quote highlighting the services included within the design process and an estimated delivery date for completion. Our fees are generally fixed but can be hourly on smaller projects.

2. Conceptual Interior Design

  • Space Planning: We’ll work through the project to make sure that we achieve the best layout possible within the design parameters. This ensures that the planning has been considered from an interior design perspective.
  • Furniture and Soft Furnishings: Unearthing unique furniture, accessories, artwork, fabric and window furnishing suppliers to create a unique interior for your individual taste and style.
  • Selection of Hard Finishes, Fittings and Appliances: Recommending and sourcing quality brand products and key suppliers for finishes, fittings, appliances and unique materials. Providing knowledge on product performance, suitability and warranties etc.
  • Joinery Design and Documentation: Designing joinery according to the Brief, including suggesting the correct joiner for each project, overseeing the construction of the joinery and selecting all finishes involved.
  • New Lighting and Electrical Design: Design and documentation of lighting and electrical layouts: consultation with selected specialists regarding home entertainment, security, heating and cooling systems.

3. Interior Design Documentation

  • Construction Documentation: We convert concept design drawings into working drawings accompanied with a finishes, fittings and equipment schedule ready for the tender process.  These documents are used within the tendering and building process to provide a more accurate building estimate as assumptions are eliminated.

4. Project Management: Coordinating your Architect, Contractors and Suppliers

  • Project Management We liaise and work closely with builders, architects, project consultants, contractors and suppliers including joiners, lighting suppliers, finishes and furniture suppliers to reduce the stress and hassle throughout the project. This means that there is less for you to think about and more for you to get excited about!
  • Inspection of Building Work ensures that your design including the joinery, lighting, furniture and finishes are built according to plan and the end result is what you expected.
